The cost of using the NHS

We have shown the tireless work of thousands of NHS and social care staff who are working round the clock to treat patients and our local communities.

We have highlighted what our services are delivering in a typical month and how much it costs.

At the CCG we are committed to commissioning safe, high quality local health services, but we must keep within our budget.

The gap between the money we have to pay for local healthcare services and demand is increasing.

The challenge we now face is how to invest the available budget in ways that most benefits the health of the whole population, and represents good value for money.

More than 400 people have already shared their views, but we want to hear from more.

We are running a survey alongside the OurNHS campaign – this week’s questions are about prescribed medicines.

Please let us know your views by going to our survey online at
