A CARE HOME owner said she is ‘living the dream’ as her Upper Beeding business celebrates seven years in operation.
Valerie Manor, a nursing home in Henfield Road, brought out the cake to celebrate its anniversary on January 29.
“It was my dream as a teenager to be the matron of a nursing home, so to have found Valerie Manor and be living that dream is so special to me,” said manager and owner Zoe Bates.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon, celebrating the day with our residents, their families and the award-winning care team who, without them, Valerie Manor wouldn’t be the home it is.
“I must also say a huge thank you to my wonderful family for always being there and to Robin Woodlands for developing the business with me,” she added.
Mrs Bates also thanked Chris Slater for the cake.
