The event is now in its fifth year and features 14 categories in which you, our readers, can nominate people, teams and charities for a Community Stars award.

And it couldn’t be easier to nominate somebody, as this year you can either fill in the form in paper, or email your nomination to us at [email protected]

The coverage runs across all editions of our papers – Worthing, Shoreham, Littlehampton, Lancing and Steyning – and nominations for people from across these areas are welcome.

Over the next few weeks, we will feature the stories of some of those who have been nominated in the paper, and we will also be talking to the category sponsors.

Then, in late October, we will feature a supplement detailing every single nominee.

It will then be up to our readers to vote for their winners.

The glittering awards event will be held on Sunday, December 8, at Worthing’s Dome Cinema, hosted by television personality Fred Dinenage.

Please ensure you include your name, the name of the person you’re nominating, the category you want to nominate them in, your telephone number and the nominee’s address and telephone number, as well as details of why they deserve the award.

The 14 categories you can nominate in are:
