New £3 million county road surface scheme set to start

SEVERAL roads will benefit from a £3million road maintenance programme being carried out across West Sussex over the next two months.

The county council has started its annual series of surface dressing schemes, which involve spraying bitumen on to the road, followed by one or more layers of stone chippings.

The targeted roads include:–

Worthing. Shaftesbury Avenue, from The Strand roundabout to Barrington Road.

Findon Valley and Findon. From Central Avenue to the A280.
