NEARLY £100 was raised from the first showing at the new Steyning Community Picture House.
Screenings were launched at the Steyning Centre on September 3 with The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
Roger Toms, chairman of the Steyning Centre Management Group, told Steyning Parish Council last week there had been an ‘excellent turnout’ of 92 people. The profit of £98.75 would go towards the upkeep of the centre.
The next film, The Love Punch, will be shown on October 1 at 7pm. Tickets are £6, in advance or on the door, to include tea, coffee or a soft drink in the interval.
The centre also has a tabletop sale on Saturday, September 27, with tables available at £8 each to use for the sale of goods.
