The centre, in Brighton Road, Shoreham, has a ten-metre high climbing wall with more than 80 graded climbs.

AOAC’s chief instructor, Craig Scampton, said: “Recently, we have noticed a real demand for us to facilitate something for the younger ones, so we are very excited to be able to offer this new session. Up until now, the minimum age for climbing here at the centre has been eight, but so many young people are ready to begin their climbing adventure before then.

“We understand the importance of routine and familiarity in the younger age group, so we intend to use the same instructor every week. The session will be focused around movement and fun in the wall and not so much about getting to the top, unless they want to.”

The first course of Mini Rock-its will start on Tuesday, November 5, costing £45.50.
