“I have lived with my family in the area for over 50 years, taught in local schools and was also a scout leader for a number of years.

“Our area covers Shoreham, Southwick and Fishersgate. We help and support, where we can, a wide range of charitable causes from the youngsters in Nursery settings through all ages and abilities to our elderly residents; people who need a little extra help to make their lives more comfortable or happier.

“AELC is part of an international charitable service organisation run by volunteers and funded by public donations. Lions International is celebrating 100 years service during my presidential year which we are planning to mark locally so watch this space.

“I am looking forward to being out and about with the Lions at charitable events and at fun activities such as our Quiz nights, Christmas Sleigh in the Southwick area, and the Donkey Derby and Classic Car Rally next summer.’”
