“The image looks like a man crouching down and hiding which would make sense.

“His mum was even on Heart Radio this morning saying she thinks it was her son. They found it really funny on the radio and we’ve all had a good laugh about it.

She added: “The whole thing is hilarious.

“He had his hood up at the time and was wearing boots and his work clothes, dark trousers with a reflective patch which seems to be in the photo.

“He’s not really hairy like Bigfoot, he does have stubble and could do with getting his hair cut.”

Lucy said they were in Angmering Park with their two children Harley and Amie, both four, on October 29 for around two or three hours.

Still, the original photographer Caroline from Rustington was adamant an ‘ape-like’, dark figure rushed across her path.

When asked if she thought it could have been Bigfoot, she said: “That’s what it looked like – I don’t know for sure, but I’ve seen other pictures of supposed Bigfoot, and what I saw looks like the other ones.”
