Music take-over
A NEW charitable trust will take over the running of music services in West Sussex from next week.
Called West Sussex Music, the trust will have its headquarters at the Herbert Shiner School in Petworth.
As a not-for-profit charitable trust, it will take on the responsibility for 180 teaching staff and providing music lessons for 18,000 pupils in the county’s colleges and schools.
Existing teaching staff will be retained and transferred to the trust.
