BEACH Dreams Community Festival launches on Friday with a Midsummer’s Eve party.W

There will be a family disco on Beach Green, Shoreham Beach, from 5pm, with music and games.

Harveys Brewery’s horses and dray will be paying a visit and there will be face painting and body art at the Bus Stop Marquee.

Summer solstice is the theme of the Beach Dreams Parade on Saturday, celebrating midsummer with flowers, butterflies and fairies.

Samba bands will lead the parade, starting at Shoreham Beach Primary School, in Shingle Road, at 11am and at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Kings Walk at 11.15am.

Organisers are planning to build a garden on the green with giant sculptural flowers.

Music will begin at midday and continue over Saturday and Sunday, with a line-up of live bands and DJs.

There is also a Beach Dreams Barn Dance on Sunday at 3.45pm and music at The Bus Stop from 12pm to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
