PUPILS at a Shoreham school pottered off to school in their nightwear, leaving their uniforms at home.
St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, in Sullington Way, was supporting the annual RNLI Mayday 2015 appeal last Friday.
Members of the School Council came up with the theme of Mayday Mayday, Forgot to Get Ready for School, with the idea that children and staff went in wearing their pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers for a donation to the RNLI.
Mrs Liz Matthews, the head’s PA, said: “The children had an assembly from RNLI volunteer education presenter Andy Morgan on Friday, April 24, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
“The assembly inspired them to want to raise money for the RNLI, especially as we are very close to the sea.
“The children always love these days and have really enjoyed coming to school in their bed wear. We have raised £180.”
