Man pleads not guilty to murdering Worthing grandfather

A motorist accused of stabbing a pensioner to death pleaded not guilty at the Old Bailey today.

Matthew Daley, 35, is charged with murdering 79-year-old Donald Lock in a road rage attack last July.

Daley of St Elmo Road, Worthing, allegedy attacked Mr Lock with a knife following a collision on the A24 near Findon. The Worthing grandfather died at the scene.

Cycling enthusiast Mr Lock had recently been given the all-clear from prostate cancer at the time of the incident.

He was on his way back from a meeting of Worthing Excelsior Cycling Club when he was stabbed multiple times.

Daley is charged with murder and possession of an article with a blade or point. He will stand trial before Lewes Crown Court on May 3.
