Man killed by train at level crossing

A MAN was killed in Shoreham after being struck by a train at a level crossing.

The 20-year-old was hit at around 1am on Saturday at the level crossing in Brunswick Road.

Officers from the British Transport Police and Sussex Police attended the scene.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended, but the man was pronounced dead while being taken to hospital.

The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
