Man, 19, injured after ‘falling onto tracks’ at Worthing station

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after falling onto the tracks at Worthing railway station.

Police said the local man was taken to hospital following the incident yesterday (September 13).

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Worthing station on Sunday, September 13, following a report of a person on the tracks.

Sussex Police officers also attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 3.07pm and is not being treated as suspicious.

South East Coast Ambulance Service medics treated a 19-year-old local man at the scene for injuries consistent with falling onto the tracks.

“He was then taken to a local hospital to be medically assessed and currently remains in a place of safety.”
