Lessons in online benefits access

FREE computer lessons about how to access benefits online will be held each Monday in March and April for people living in Adur at either 10am until noon or 12.30pm until 2.30pm.

The course will be provided by Adur Online Learners and will cover setting up email accounts and using them safely, as well as how to access and use the Advice Guide website from the Citizens’ Advice Bureau and the Universal Jobsmatch from HM Government.

Those attending the classes will be split into small groups of four learners.

One-to-one support from skilled tutors will be provided, along with all equipment needed for the lesson.

The lessons will be held at Big Local Hub in Cokeham Parade, Sompting, on March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, and at The Old School House in Ham Road, Shoreham on April 7, 14 and 28.

Adur Online Learners was set up in 2013 when Adur Voluntary Action secured National Lottery funding for a major project to teach people across the Adur district how to use the internet, set up email accounts and be safe online.
