A MUSIC group for tiny tots has been named the best in the UK.
Kimbalu has been named Best Pre-school Music Activity in the 3rd Annual KalliKids UK Best Awards.
Hailed as ‘inspirational’ by lead judge and former Olympian Roger Black, the UK Best Awards recognise the innovation and hard work of providers of family and children services in Britain.
The Shoreham and Southwick based music group for babies and toddlers beat off competition from more than 1200 providers to scoop the top award.
Lorrie Bell, founder of Kimbalu, said: “We’re so excited to have won this award and feel very privileged to know that so many have voted for us.”
“Kimbalu has been running for over 20 years and from the lovely feedback we get, we know that parents and children love to have fun sharing music.
“Any families come for quite a few years, some starting when their first child is a baby and leaving when their last one goes to school.”
Voting for the 18 categories in the awards began online back in June. The three providers with the most votes were shortlisted in September.
It has then been over to a panel of independent judges to select the overall winners.
KalliKids is the UK’s stamp tick of approval and accreditation service for children’s activities and services.
To earn accreditation KalliKids’ providers have to be referenced and recommended by families and they have to provide proof of qualifications, training and other documentation.
