Plans for Sussex’s first IKEA will be debated tonight – but how did the small Swedish firm become a worldwide brand?

A council meeting tonight will see councillors rule on plans for New Monks Farm, off the A27 at Lancing.

New Monks Farm Development Ltd, a subsidiary of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, is behind the plans for the store and 600 new homes.
