How YOU can be a part of The Longest Day

WE are aiming to give the whole area a boost with a great new campaign.

The Summer of Love campaign is encouraging readers to celebrate their communities during June.

And to help celebrate, we’re asking you, our readers, to help mark the longest day of the year, tomorrow, by taking one picture and a short video clip to create a visual snapshot – video clips don’t have to be long, just 20 or 30 seconds. Pictures and video can be of any part of your day on June 21 – sunrise, sunset or anything in between.

You can email your pictures and videos to [email protected]

We’ll feature as many as we can at www.worthingherald.co.uk, www.shorehamherald.co.uk and www.littlehamptongazette.co.uk, and the reporters will be out and about capturing the day themselves.

Colin Channon, the Herald and Gazette’s editor in chief, said: “We want all our readers to get out there and capture something that illustrates their day. It could be anything from the sunrise to walking the dog, whatever forms part of your day. We’ll share the pictures and video footage online, for the tens and tens of thousands of our online readers to see, across the area and beyond. It’s a great opportunity to come together and produce something momentous – and here’s hoping the weather is befittinng midsummer’s day!” The Summer of Love campaign is also aiming to boost the local economy by getting people to spend their hard-earned pennies and pounds locally.
