AN Upper Beeding nursing home has been praised in the Great British Care Awards.
Four members of staff at Valerie Manor nursing and residential care home, in Henfield Road, have been selected as finalists in the care awards for the south east region.
Owner and manager Zoë Bates is nominated for the Care Employer Award, Emma Wood is up for the Frontline Leaders Award, Sarah Mack is competing for the Care Home Worker Award and Alan Fry is nominated for the Ancillary Worker Award.
Judging for the finalists took place last Monday and the awards ceremony will be held at the Brighton Hilton Hotel on Friday, November 29.
Zoë said: “We wish all our finalists all the very best of luck.
“The purpose of the awards are to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.”
The Great British Care Awards involve a series of regional events throughout England to celebrate excellence across the care sector.
Sarah Mack won an award and Emma Wood was a finalist at the West Sussex Care Accolades 2013 in July.
Two other members of staff, Gemma Fielder and Andrew Brown were also winners at the West Sussex County Council awards ceremony, held at the Arundel Wetland Centre.
