The Towers Convent School hosted the first hub event to raise peoples awareness about modern slavery

Colleen Theron, an environmental lawyer and modern slavery and human rights consultant, worked closely with the school to start The Towers Anti-Trafficking Hub.

Speakers, who have played key roles in the fight against modern slavery, included Juliet Sargent, Greg Valerio, Joshua Luke Smith Emily Carr, a Towers pupil, and Colleen.

The audience included Towers pupils, Sisters, staff and visitors.

Senior Towers pupils will be visiting schools giving assemblies on this subject and enlightening fellow pupils on how they can make a difference.
