OWNERS of a successful Henfield coffee shop have expanded by opening a second branch in Southwick.

Panny and Lisa Soteriou used a combination of their names when they set up Pannisa Coffee Shop in Henfield eight months ago.

The couple have now been welcomed into Southwick Square, where their second shop is called Pannisa Coffee Lounge.

They modernised and redecorated the former Tomorrow’s World site, in the same style as the Henfield coffee shop.

Southwick councillor Peter Metcalfe said it was good news for the town, after months of effort being put in to improve the Square.

He said: “We have worked very hard in the past year to make the Square a successful place to trade and for patrons to enjoy a nice relaxed shopping environment.

“We needed to attract new traders to the Square and I am really delighted to welcome Lisa and Panny and wish them luck in this new venture.

“The Square is almost at 100 per cent occupancy, with only one unit being available to let, so the hard work is paying off and it is smashing to see such a vibrant trading shopping centre again.”

Customers have also praised the new coffee lounge, describing it as ‘very good looking’.

One, Mrs Brenda Marchant, said: “Pannisa Coffee Lounge came into Southwick Square without any fuss and decorated the old video shop. Lisa and Panny have made this shop a very attractive place. The very best of luck to them.”

Previously, Panny was a salesman and concierge executive. He has worked for Virgin Atlantic and American Express.
