LAST night’s heavy rain failed to stop hundreds of patriotic Herald and Gazette readers from getting out their trestle tables today (Sunday, June 3) as diamond jubilee events were held across the area.

Reporters and photographers have been out and about all weekend, and will be visiting events tomorrow (Monday, June 4) and Tuesday (June 5) to put together a 16-page jubilee special for this week’s paper, out Thursday, June 7.
