FREE labour for practical projects in the community is being offered by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Community Rehabilitation Company.
Supervised teams of offenders provide the service as part of their community punishment hours.
Projects include painting, gardening, fencing and conservation and the offer is available to charities and not-for-profit agencies.
Teams of a maximum of eight workers, led by a skilled member of staff, are available for one day a week, working to a good standard and health and safety legislation.
Chief executive Adrian Baillieu said: “Probation has changed. But our purpose remains constant - we are here to reduce reoffending, transform people’s lives and, as a direct result, keep the public safe. In short, we’re here to make a difference.”
