Jasmin Simmons, 26, of The Causeway, Worthing, appeared on ITV’s new dating show, Meet the Parents, hosted by Holly Willoughby and the singleton’s love life was put in the hands of her parents.

Millions tuned in on October 29 and saw the fiery senior lettings negotiator land a date, but she has since revealed things did not work out for the pair, and instead has ‘hit it off’ with another singleton from the show.

“It was a really fun date and he was a really lovely lad, but he was not for me,” said Jasmin.

She added: “I was shaking with nerves, especially as it was in front of a live audience, but at the same time it was exciting and gave me a huge adrenaline rush.

“I went on the show willing to meet someone and I met someone unexpectedly, and he is down to earth and more like me – we have been on a couple of dates since the show and things are going well – I would never have met him if I didn’t go on the show.”

Justin Relyt, 25, from Worthing appeared on Channel 4’s First Dates on October 24 and sent viewers into a frenzy after cracking an ‘awkward riding joke’ and calling himself the ‘wolf of Worthing’ – which created a negative response on social media site Twitter.

The 25-year-old said he saw the show as a ‘stage to perform on’ and was ‘not fussed’ about the negative response as he has ‘a thick skin’ and ‘does not take anything too seriously’.

“People who knew me thought I was funny and I set out to provide quality entertainment,” said Justin.

He added: “I wanted to make a point of being extreme, 99 per cent of people hate me but my friends and family think I was funny.

“I did not go on the show to meet my one true love and if I was on a first date, do you really think I would say some of the things I said! I had an awesome time – it was nervewracking but was a great adrenaline rush.”
