Firm which embraces apprentices

A LETTINGS agent has embraced apprenticeships by hiring a Brighton City College student to work at their Shoreham base.

Lawton & Dawe, in Broad Reach, have hired 20-year-old Jennifer Payne to work in a customer services role.

Jennifer, from Southwick, said the business was the perfect fit for her.

She said: “They’re so friendly and welcoming, and customer care is so important to them.

“I’m going to learn so much from this apprenticeship.”

Managing director Lucy Dawe said the appointment, coupled with another recent recruitment, had strengthened the company.

She said: “The Lawton & Dawe team goes from strength to strength, which means we can give our clients, both landlords and tenants, an even better letting experience”.

Lucy will climb Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, in September.

She is raising money for Worthing Churches Homeless Projects and Spinal Research.

Jennifer said: “Lucy Dawe is an inspirational woman, because she’s incredibly passionate about her work, and also does so much for charity.

“I can’t believe she’s climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September.”
