FOUR fire crews have been tackling a fire in Steyning.

The blaze started in the roof space of a domestic garage in Horsham Road, at around 3.15pm.

Firefighters say the fire is out and they are now damping down. Assistance was given by East Sussex Fire and Rescue, using a compressed air foam system.

The crews also sued two hose reels and two jets to tackle the fire on the roof of an 8m by 4m double-bay garage.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no injuries had been reported.
