Fire crews cut man from damaged car


TWO were taken to hospital following a car crash on the A283 in Wiston yesterday afternoon (Monday, July 20).

The incident happened just after 1.30pm.

Firefighters from Storrington and Shoreham, along with the heavy rescue tender from Worthing attended the scene.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut one man out of the damaged vehicle.

Both of the casualties were then taken to hospital for treatment.

Fire crews left the scene at 2.18pm.
