Family poetry collection launch night

Sara Proctor, 60, of Greenacres, Steyning, put together the anthology, which spans three generations of women in her family, with her daughter Emily Hudson, 34, from Hove.

Where Memories and Dreams are One combines poetry from Sara’s mother Janet Drake, who died three years ago, and Sara and Emily, who all wrote poems in their early teens and 20s.

Emily said: “We were interested in what linked them, were we going through any of the same things as we were all so close?”

The anthology was originally a Christmas present one year for Janet.

The launch 7.30pm launch will be at the Springwells Hotel, and will include live poetry reading and music.
