HUNDREDS turned out for a weekend of fun in the sun at this year’s Southwick Spring Fayre.

Families were treated to all sorts of children’s entertainment, live music, showtime amusements children’s rides, sideshows and dodgems on Southwick Green over the May bank holiday weekend.

Adur town centres manager David Steadman said it had been a fantastic weekend.

“Hundreds of people came out to enjoy the family event,” he said.

“The children really enjoyed the magic show, they were absolutely enthused with it.

“On Saturday the charities raised quite a lot of money.

“It really was a very successful event and thankfully this year the weather was dry and sunny.”

“We were unlucky the last couple of years when it has tipped it down with rain.”

“The fine weekend sunny weather obviously attracted a lot more people.”

Another attraction that proved popular with visitors included a children’s farm.

“Lots of family groups there enjoyed the experience of being able to come and see the animals,” said Mr Steadman.
