Fairtrade meeting
A MEETING to start a Fairtrade group in Adur is being held at the Civic Centre in Ham Road, Shoreham on Wednesday, September 7, at 6.30pm.
District councillor Peter Berry put a motion before Adur Council in July, calling on the local authority to support the Fairtrade movement.
Councillors have agreed to look at the issue at a committee meeting later this month.
Mr Berry told the Herald: "There is already evidence of a lot of support for the movement throughout the district. Many, if not all, of the churches are selling Fairtrade goods."
