An elderly woman was the victim of a distraction burglary when and man and a woman entered her Shoreham-by-Sea home and made off with bank cards.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary in Rectory Road, which happened at about 1.35pm on Tuesday, November 3.
Police said the occupant, an elderly woman of 86, was approached by two people claiming to be lost.
They produced a map and asked for directions.
The suspects managed to gain entry to her home and while she tried to help them, two bank cards were stolen without her knowledge before the men left.
One of the suspects is described as a man of Mediterranean appearance, aged between 30 to 40, 5ft 11in to 6f, with neat dark hair. He was wearing a brown sports jacket.
He was accompanied by a white woman, 5ft 6in, of slim build, police said.
Any witness or anyone with information is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 101, quoting serial 354 of 04/11.
Alternatively they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
