Plans for two new classrooms at Upper Beeding Primary School have been submitted.
Due to a ‘bulge year’ in terms of pupil numbers in the area, September’s reception intake will be three classes rather than two throughout the rest of the school’s age groups.
West Sussex County Council is planning to instal a modular building containing two new classrooms, toilets, and storage facilities.
The new building will accommodate up to 60 extra children and will be staffed by two new teachers and two teaching assistants.
It will be positioned close to the existing school buildings on part of the hard-standing play area.
