A driver has been banned from the roads after crashing her car in Shoreham.

Gabrielle Brayne, of Vallance Road, Hove, was arrested at 9.25pm on June 30 after she crashed her Volkswagen Beetle into a Honda Jazz in Kings Crescent.

The 21-year-old had 43 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of her breath, the legal limit is 35.

Brayne pleaded guilty to drink-driving when she appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on July 16.

She was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay £235 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
