This has made it possible for the art and community group to produce banners for display around Coronation Green, Shoreham and Southwick Green for the duration of Adur Festival.

Jo Telling from Superstar Arts said: “It is important to publically show the excellent work done by learning disabled people and celebrate their achievements as valued members of our local community.”

Katie Orchin, marketing and communications executive at Shoreham Port, added: “Superstar Arts are a fantastic organisation which we have been delighted to support over the past couple of years. They carry out truly life changing work in Worthing and offer wonderful opportunities to adults with learning disabilities. We would like to wish them the very best of luck with their workshops and projects lined up for the rest of the year.”

Martin Dickinson from the group has also raised money for the project – £1,260 so far – as well as securing lots of raffle prizes. These have included theatre tickets and a day at the races.

Jo added: “Martin’s skills are very valuable to us and we really pleased to have on board.”

Martin said: “I enjoy learning new and wonderful things. Superstar Arts is great for anyone with learning disabilities and I have made lots of lovely friends”.
