CAR travel has previously worried eight-year-old Prince, but trainers are working on this.
The male collie cross needs a quiet adult home, with time and space to settle into the new surroundings.
Dogs Trust Shoreham said: “Prince is a smart chap and enjoys his training. Lately he has been learning about car travel, as this is something that has previously worried him. His trainer Daniel is teaching him that the car is not a scary place.
“His own garden would be great so he can run and play freely. Prince would like to be the only dog in his new home so he can have all the attention to himself.”
The charity said it would be helpful for the new owners to visit Prince at the Brighton Road centre a number of times, to build up a relationship.
“The extra visits will be worth it as he is such a sweet boy. One of our lovely volunteers comes and spends time with Prince. She reads to him and he falls asleep, which is so sweet. He also loves being groomed.”
