Customers will have the opportunity to discuss the proposed Post Office move at a drop in forum today.
The Post Office has put forward plans to close Shoreham’s Crown Post Office in Brunswick Road.
A new branch would be created at Maxi’s Convenience Store in the high street.
Customers will be able to discuss the plans and raise any queries with Post Office representatives at the forum today (Friday, June 16), which runs from 3.30pm to 7.30pm at the Shoreham Centre in Pond Road.
Subject to consultation, the new branch will have four serving positions in total and offer the same services as now.
It is proposed the branch would move in October 2017.
Roger Gale, Post Office sales and trade marketing director, said that the change would help to ensure the branch is commercially viable into the future and therefore protect Post Office services.
A six week consultation into the proposals opened in May and is due to close on Wednesday, June 28.
More than 70 people attended a rally to save the Brunswick Road Crown Office in March.
