Windows stolen from Worthing charity's Kenyan school

Dave Cox, 47, runs Kids in Kenya with his wife Daisy, and the charity’s aim is educate children in Kenya by providing physical resources.

The stolen windows were part of a new school building the charity was working on in the village of Kikambala, Mombasa.

“I am genuinely disappointed,” said Mr Cox, of Park Road, Worthing.

“Unfortunately, this is what tends to happen, but we have just got back from doing some work over there. It is glass, they won’t get much for it, but that is not the point. I am trying to do a good deed. I can’t do anything about it until my next trip in the summer.”

The charity has been operating since 2011, and has worked on a range of projects to help the village, which include building a well and providing children with beds.

Nine volunteers have been working on the school since last year, flying out to the village in two-week shifts.
