Three teens arrested after violent attack in Worthing park leaves two in hospital

Three teenagers have been arrested after a violent incident in a Worthing park left two men with concussion and broken ribs.

Four people – two men aged 29 and 23, a woman aged 19 and a boy aged 16 – were approached while walking through Victoria Park, Worthing, by several people at about 10pm on Monday, police said.

The younger of the two men had a cigarette snatched from him and all four were attacked, according to police.

Both men had to be taken to hospital to be treated for concussion and broken ribs.

Detective Constable Katie Clack said; “We arrested two girls aged 15 and 14, and a boy aged 15, on suspicion of robbery and after being interviewed they have been released under investigation.

“This was an unpleasant and violent attack and our enquiries are continuing.
