Steyning man banned from driving after crash

Cameron Springett, 25, was arrested at 10am on June 12 after he crashed his Vauxhall Astra van in Haslingbourne Lane, Petworth.

He had 49 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his breath, according to Sussex Police.

Mr Springett, of Mouse Lane, Steyning, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on June 30.

He was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £440, ordered to pay £235 costs and a £44 victim surcharge.
