Police raid Sompting pub and three arrested for drug offences

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of supplyingdrugs after police were called to a pub in Sompting.

According to Sussex Police, officers were called to a group of people congregating at the Joyful Whippet in Halewick Lane at 4.40pm on Friday (February 19).

Some suspects were seen to discard some Class B and Class A drugs as police arrived, as well as a mobile phone.

Two men, aged 19 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.

They have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

There was no apparent congregation or breach of Covid regulations, police said.
