Police appeal after stolen car set on fire

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen from outside a house in Bramber and found burnt out in Rustington.

Police said the Land Rover was parked in a driveway just off Annington Road and is believed to have been taken some time between 1am and 2am on Sunday (February 26).

According to police, it was found shortly after 3am in Goodwood Close, Rustington following a call from a member of the public who reported a vehicle fire.

PC Chris Finch said: “The keys to the car were kept inside the house and were also reported missing. We believe the property was broken into shortly before the Land Rover was taken.

“If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious, or perhaps saw a green Discovery being driven in the area, then please get in touch.”
