Neil Turner, 67, of Pevensey Garden in Worthing, was jailed for 28 months on Wednesday for indecently touching several young boys and a vulnerable adult over 30 years from the 1980s.

The former choirmaster's latest victims came forward following a conviction in 2017 for similar offences and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) has praised the bravery of the original whistleblowers.

A spokesman for the charity said: “This case highlights that it is never too late for survivors of abuse to come forward. Thanks to the bravery of those who spoke out in 2017, further victims have felt able to seek justice.
