Images of men wanted for Sussex bicycle thefts

BRITISH Tranport Police has released images of men wanted in connection with bicycle thefts from Sussex railway station.

Officers want to speak to the men in connection with thefts in Angmering, Goring, Bognor Regis and Barnham.

Inspector Gary Ancell said: “Our latest gallery of images show people who we suspect of taking cycles from rail stations across Sussex between February and May this year.

“As part of our enquiries, the images have been looked at by local neighbourhood policing teams in each area but so far we’ve been unable to get names for these people.

“If you recognise any of them and think you can tell us who they are, or if you feature in any of the images, please get in touch.”

Angmering

The top-left picture, numbered 3, shows a man suspected of taking a bicycle from the racks at Angmering railway station.

The theft took place at around 6.30pm on Friday, February 24.

The victim returned to discover his cycle missing and his lock damaged.

Goring

The men in the top-middle image, numbered 4, are suspected of taking a bicycle from the racks at Goring railway station.

The theft took place at around 2.30pm on Thursday, March 29.

Bognor Regis

The man in the top-right picture is wanted in connection with a theft from Bognor Regis railway station.

A bicycle was taken at around 1.45pm on Thursday, May 3.

Barnham

Officers want to identify the men in the bottom image, numbered 9, after a bicycle was stolen from Barnham railway station.

The theft took place at around 1.45pm on Sunday, May 20.

Insp Ancell said: “We’ll continue to work closely with Southern to tackle cycle crime at rail stations and ask passengers to report any suspicious behaviour to a member of staff or police.”
