Court results: This is who was sentenced at Worthing and Crawley magistrates’ courts, July 19 to 29, 2021

William Deacon, 19, of Houghton Court, Shadwells Road, Lancing, was given a community order with rehabilitation activity requirement and must carry out 300 hours’ unpaid work after admitting driving while disqualified in Old Shoreham Road, Hove, on March 12, 2021; and driving while disqualified in Goffs Lane, Crawley, on May 6, 2021. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months. He also admitted two charges of driving without insurance, no separate penalties. He admitted two charges of breaching a community order and was dealt with for the original offences, receiving the new community order for assault by beating in Lancing on August 11, 2020, and driving while disqualified in Brighton Road, Lancing, on February 7, 2021.

Sammy Gould, 36, of Sompting Lodge, Sompting Road, Lancing, was fined £460 and must pay £85 costs, £92 victim surcharge, after admitting failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required at Worthing Custody Centre on July 4, 2021. He was fined £460 after admitting being in charge of a vehicle while he was over the legal alcohol limit (107mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Sompting Road, Lancing, on July 18, 2021. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Tara O’Kelly, 44, of Gordon Avenue, Shoreham, was fined £114 and must pay £34 victim surcharge, £90 costs, after admitting driving over the 30mph speed limit in Kingsway, Hove, on January 17, 2021. Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

Charles Martin, 26, of Thistle Spinney, Durrington, was fined £500 and must pay £50 victim surcharge, £90 costs, after admitting under the single justice procedure driving over the 30mph speed limit in Littlehampton Road, Worthing, on September 20, 2020. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Toyah Keen, 21, of The Forge, West Street, Selsey, was fined £120 and must pay £34 victim surcharge, £110 costs, after admitting using a vehicle without insurance in East Street, Littlehampton, on January 16, 2021. Her driving record was endorsed with six points. She also admitted permitting someone to drive a vehicle in Rosemead, Littlehampton, without the correct licence on January 16, 2021, no separate penalty.

David Power, 37, of Buckingham Road, Shoreham, was fined £700 and must pay £70 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (68mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) on the A2037 Upper Beeding on June 19, 2021. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months.

Elliot Ward, 21, of Middle Mead, Steyning, was fined £400 and must pay £40 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (47mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Kings Barn Lane, Steyning, on June 23, 2021. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

His driving record was endorsed with three points for each offence.
