A man has been arrested following a crash in which another man died and two teenagers were taken to hospital, police have said.
Emergency services were called to Comptons Lane, at the junction with Heron Way, near Forest School in Horsham, at about 10.45am this morning (Tuesday July 5).
Police said the crash involved a taxi and a lorry.
Three fire crews were sent to free a man who became trapped in the taxi. Firefighters from Horsham, Billingshurst and Crawley released him using hydraulic rescue equipment.
Police said the man, in his 60s, died at the scene.
The Air Ambulance along with three ambulances, two paramedic cars and members of the Hazard Area Response Team also attended.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said two teenagers, who were in the taxi, were treated at the scene for chest injuries.
They were fully conscious and were taken as a priority to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for further checks, the spokesman added.
Police said a 34-year-old man from Crawley was arrested after providing a positive drugs test and has been bailed pending analysis.
