Bags of animal remains discovered by road outside Worthing

Bags of animal remains have been discovered on a road outside Worthing.

According to police, bags containing crab shells and legs and the remains of a dead swan were found discarded in a layby off the Bostal Road between Steyning and Sompting.

It was reported to police at 2.24pm on Sunday (May 17), but a force spokesman said they did not know when it happened or how long it had been there.

They said: "If you witnessed this worrying fly tipping incident please contact Sussex Police."

The swan's remains were reported to police recently
