Armed police attend property in Worthing
Armed police attended a property in Worthing on Tuesday afternoon (December 15).
Police were called to Portland Road, Worthing, at round 4.10pm due to concerns for a man in distress inside a property, a spokesman said.
Officers attended and the man was arrested on suspicion of sending a false message by public electronic communication network to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety, police said.
He remains in custody at this time.
No other persons were involved and no injuries were reported, according to police.
A crossbow was found and seized from the address, confirmed the spokesman.
