Cable contacted police shortly after 5am today, after several weeks on the run, to say he was at Lancing railway station and wished to hand himself in, according to the spokesperson.

Officers attended and Cable was arrested on suspicion of escaping from lawful custody, said the spokesperson.

Anyone with any information about absconders can contact Sussex Police on [email protected] or call 101, quoting Sussex reference Operation Parcel.
