Crime writers in conversation

TWO award-winning crime writers will be '˜in conversation' at an author supper in Steyning next week.

Steyning Bookshop has organised the event at The Sussex Produce Café, in High Street, on Thursday, February 27.

Elly Griffiths and Lesley Thomson will be in conversation with bookshop owner Sara Bowers, discussing their craft, followed by a book signing.

Sara said: “Elly, who lives near Brighton, is a lively and accomplished writer who sets her quirky and atmospheric crime novels in the wild and wind-swept coastal lands of Norfolk.

“Her new book, The Outcast Dead, is published this month and should be another enjoyable read for fans of her Ruth Galloway series.”

Lesley, who lives in Lewes, met Elly when they were tutors at West Dean College.

Sara said: “She is fast becoming a crime writer to look out for, with her latest novel The Detective’s Daughter promising to be the start of a very successful series, too.”

Tickets are £25, to include a two-course meal and free paperback, or £10 voucher towards Elly’s new hardback. They are available at Steyning Bookshop or Sussex Produce Company, both in High Street, Steyning.
