Creative ideas brought to life

HANDS-on workshops have helped bring creative ideas to life during the Adur Festival.

A programme of creative workshops for children was organised in the yurt at Adur Outdoor Activities Centre from May 25 to June 1.

The half-term activities included animation, sculpture, model making, clay, masks and storytelling.

Hanna Boal, who runs Hands On Workshops, said the yurt was now a permanent feature at the Brighton Road centre and a programme of creative days and shared workshops was planned for the school holidays.

“It is great. I am a qualified teacher but I decided to go back to running workshops to try to give children the chance to explore different techniques and materials,” she explained.
